I have practiced family law in Florida since 1985. For the first four years I had an office in downtown Gainesville, then in 1990 I moved my office to Alachua – just north of Gainesville. During that time I have handled many dissolutions of marriage (divorces), which frequently include multiple issues, such as custody/time-sharing, visitation, alimony, child support and equitable distribution of real and personal property, including retirement accounts. I have also handled many paternity cases, which of course involve all of the above except alimony and equitable distribution. I also represent clients in enforcement actions, when the other party is not living up to the Agreement/Order. While in practice I have also served on the Eighth Judicial Circuit Board of Directors and the Eighth Circuit Grievance Committee, was the President of the Alachua Chamber of Commerce and have been active with the local Bar Association.
I was the founding president of the local chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, and I have received two awards for my pro bono work.
Sometimes I represent the man, and sometimes I represent the woman — I do not discriminate.
